The Huskies came out “Blacked-out” on Halloween night as the Arizona Wildcats came to town. They probably wish that they would have stayed in the desert as the Dawgs became a Halloween nightmare scoring early and often to rout the ‘Cats 49-3. Jake Browning came of an injury week to score 5 touchdowns through the air and on the ground. The Huskies welcome Utah next week looking to knock off a ranked opponent at home.
It’s that time of year that I get to take a step back and think about all of the great opportunities that had over the past year to see so many great events and try to capture them as best I could. I also get to think about all of the great new people that I got to meet this year. Here are a few of my favorite captures from 2013, I hope you enjoy them. Have a great holiday season and I’m looking forward to 2014!!
I’m a little late here since I had to hop on a plane for Austin, Texas right after I shot two games last Saturday. I had two games in the same city that started 3 hours apart from each other. Washington hosted Arizona at Husky Stadium and then Washington State was host to 5th ranked Stanford which was played at CenturyLink Field downtown. The first game had one of the heaviest downpours I have ever shot in, it was miserable and the wind was making it come down sideways. I was soaked, but my camera gear stayed mostly dry.
I took off from the UW-AZ game at halftime, which the Dawgs ended up winning 31-13 and headed downtown and did a complete change of clothes for the next game. The first half of that game was fairly dry but then by the second half, the heavy rains returned. By then the game was already well in hand as Stanford crushed the Cougars 55-17. It was a long, tiring, but entertaining day for sure, but it made me realize that its time to invest in some good rain pants!
