Another beautiful fall day for football as the undefeated Cal Bears came in to town to play there Huskies. This was the Pac-12 opener for both teams. The Bears were lead by Junior QB Jared Goff, who is considered by some to be the best QB in college football right now. Cal took a 20-7 lead into halftime and the Huskies made it interesting late, but were unable to catch up in a 30-24 Cal victory. The Huskies head into a bye week before heading down to Southern Cal to meet up against old Coach Steve Sarkisian.
It’s that time of year that I get to take a step back and think about all of the great opportunities that had over the past year to see so many great events and try to capture them as best I could. I also get to think about all of the great new people that I got to meet this year. Here are a few of my favorite captures from 2013, I hope you enjoy them. Have a great holiday season and I’m looking forward to 2014!!
The Huskies were playing with a lot of emotions for this game. One was the sting of getting blown out by Arizona State last week and also dealing with the death of legendary ex coach Don James who passed away earlier this week. The Huskies celebrated James’ life throughout the game with presentations during pre game as well as halftime. The Dawgs got their focus back on the task at hand hosting the Cal Bears, who are winless in the Pac-12, and blew them away with ease 41-17 behind another big night by RB Bishop Sankey.
