Photographing a Legend
A couple of weeks ago, I had a chance to photograph NBA legend Lenny Wilkens, needless to say I was ecstatic at the opportunity. Just a day before the shoot, Lenny was honored with the 1992 Olympic “Dream Team” being inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame for the THIRD TIME! Since there is nobody else on the planet with three Hall of Fame rings, we wanted this to be a prominent part of the shoot. I had several poses that I wanted to try out that would show of the rings as well as Lenny and overall, I was very happy with the results. I can’t thank my friend Patrick enough for helping me out with the lighting and setup as well as bouncing ideas off of. Check out the sample of images below that highlight a few of my favorites.
Racing Stripes
My Cousin Heather was in town racing at the velodrome at Marymoor Park in Redmond this weekend. I was able to go over there for a little while and get some shots. I was playing around with some long exposures and ended up getting some pretty trippy results. Check out the whole set.

I ran over to the Edmonds Ferry terminal on Saturday to catch the sunset.
Opening Day 2010
Yesterday, I went to my first Opening Day for the Mariners. It was a pretty cool ceremony before the game with alot of old Mariners on hand. The game itself left alot to be desired. I have several more photos here.
Flying Frisbee Dog
This was a shot that my dad took of my dog Eva when we went to the dog park a couple years back. I love this shot!

I thought this had a cool effect to it. Not bad for an iPhone shot.
Dave and Sea Gal
Over the Thanksgiving break I went to the Turkey Bowl that benefits Whisker City. It was alot of fun and I actually didn’t bowl too bed for not having played for a year. One of the local celebrities there was Shelly from the Sea Gals.
“Dunlop, You suck…”
Today we lost Paul Newman, who played Coach/Player Reggie “Reg” Dunlop in the greatest movie ever made “Slapshot“. What a shame.
Goodbye Wilbur…
Today, We had to say goodbye to our cat Wilbur. He was Brenda’s cat for 17+ years and I knew him for the past 12. He was a good guy and will be missed.
