The NFL season kicked off last weekend with the Miami Dolphins coming into town. The crowd was hyped up for the season to start as were the players. Both offenses struggled a bit to get points on the board, but the Seahawks struck when they needed to late in the game to pull out a 12-10 victory. The date also marked the 15th anniversary of the 9-11 attack, so there were a lot of service members on hand for pregame ceremonies.
The Huskies came out “Blacked-out” on Halloween night as the Arizona Wildcats came to town. They probably wish that they would have stayed in the desert as the Dawgs became a Halloween nightmare scoring early and often to rout the ‘Cats 49-3. Jake Browning came of an injury week to score 5 touchdowns through the air and on the ground. The Huskies welcome Utah next week looking to knock off a ranked opponent at home.
It was good to be back on the field shooting as the 2014 season kicked off on Thursday. The Big Ten newbies Rutgers Scarlet Knights came into Seattle to face the Washington State Cougars playing in their annual “Seattle Game”. Connor Halliday picked right up where he ended last year with a huge game of 532 YDS, 5 TD, 1 INT. But defense and special teams lapses were too much to overcome as the Knights beat the Cougars 41-38.
