I got to hit the ice last night and shoot my first hockey game. I love the game and watch it all the time but photographing it was a whole new experience. When you are at ice level right between the benches it’s a whole new game! You are right in the middle of all the shift changes and you need to keep your head on a swivel to make sure you don’t get a puck or a stick upside the head. the action is fast and furious and it took me a little bit to get the pace of it. I had a blast shooting it and managed to get a few decent shots. The Silvertips lost to the Victoria Royals 4-3 in overtime, but managed to clinch the 8th spot for the playoffs. Enjoy!

On a day where the NFL was honoring US Veterans across the league, the Jets came into Seattle trying to save their season but ended up getting pummeled by the Seahawks 28-7. I got to see first hand “Tebow-mania” in action. It was really bizarre how the stadium was buzzing every time he entered the game. Neither him or Mark Sanchez could get the offense going however.
