It was a wet and windy night at Husky Stadium as the 14th ranked Sun Devils rolled into town. The Huskies switched up a couple key pieces on offense with Freshman Troy Williams starting at Quarterback and Linebacker Shaq Thompson staring at Running Back. The two defenses traded punches for most of the game but the Sun Devils had more fire power and finally pulled away to a 24-10 victory. The hard winds that peaked at about 60 mph gusts at times played havoc with the kicking game for both teams and kept a lot of the offensive plays on the ground as well.
It was a beautiful fall day at CentruryLink Field for a game on Sunday as the Seahawks hosted the Tennessee Titans. It could have been a homecoming game for Titans Quarterback Jake Locker but he was unable to play because of a hip injury he suffered a couple weeks ago. The Titans played a scrappy game and kept close if not ahead for a good part of the game, but the Seahawks turned on their home dominance and pulled away with a 20-13 victory. Marshawn Lynch put the Hawks on his back and carried the load with two scores on the day.
The Ducks-Huskies game created quite a frenzy building up to the game with ESPN’s College Gameday appearing on campus before the game. It was being billed as the game of the year for the Dawgs, who kept things close for 3+ quarters before the Ducks put their foot on the gas and pulled away to secure a 45-24 victory. Marcus Mariota looked like a probable Heisman Trophy candidate throwing for 3 touchdowns and rushing for another. This victory also marked the 10th straight victory over the Huskies for Oregon.
