Well, I’ve been waiting for several month for this, but It’s finally here. FOOTBALL SEASON!! Washington opened it’s home season against the Syracuse Orange this last Saturday at Husky Stadium. The Day marked the 9th Anniversary of 9/11. The Huskies started off slow, but then the offense started clicking and they rolled to a 41-20 win. Jermaine Kearse had a big day with 3 touchdowns from Jake Locker.
Here’s a fun piece that I put together with shots of all the helmets of teams that I have shot over the past few years. It sure looks like a lot when you get them all together like this. You will see the black and white version below. It’s funny how they all blend together when you take out all of the colors that make them distinctive and iconic. You can see the color version and see the difference for yourself. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to photograph all these teams over the past few years for Lindy’s Sports Annuals and hope to do it for several more years.
I was lucky enough to make a trip to Yankee Stadium this summer one time before it closed it’s doors forever. I went with my dad and sister in May and it was quite an experience. I am not a Yankee fan by any strech, but it was cool to go and see a place with so much history. Here is a shot that I took and played around with in Adobe Lightroom. I really like the way this one turned out. Click the image for a larger view.
