I kicked off the 2017 season on the road with a trip down to Los Angeles to shoot my alma mater Western Michigan Broncos as they took on the USC Trojans at the historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The temperature was in the triple digits for most of my visit down there which made for one of the hottest games I have ever photographed. Being able to shoot a game at the Coliseum was one of those bucket list items that I have been wanting to try and do for several years and I was happy to get the opportunity to do so. It was a very cool experience. The Broncos put up a heck of a fight right up until the end, but a few big plays by USC sealed the 49-31 victory.
The high-flying Falcons came into CenturyLink Field with a high powered offense that included Matt Ryan and Julio Jones but the Seahawks Defense was up to the test and held them in check on way to sneaking out a 26-24 victory.
The Washington Huskies welcomed the Portland State Vikings into town last Saturday for their last tune up game before conference play starts on the road next week in Tucson. The Huskies put up 4 touchdowns in the first half on their way to a 41-3 victory. The next time the Huskies will be home is their Friday night matchup against Stanford, when Mountlake will be the center of the college football world for that night.
