The high-flying Falcons came into CenturyLink Field with a high powered offense that included Matt Ryan and Julio Jones but the Seahawks Defense was up to the test and held them in check on way to sneaking out a 26-24 victory.
The NFL season kicked off last weekend with the Miami Dolphins coming into town. The crowd was hyped up for the season to start as were the players. Both offenses struggled a bit to get points on the board, but the Seahawks struck when they needed to late in the game to pull out a 12-10 victory. The date also marked the 15th anniversary of the 9-11 attack, so there were a lot of service members on hand for pregame ceremonies.
I wrapped up my 2015 football season last Sunday when the Cleveland Browns came into town. The Seahawks were on a roll with 5 straight wins and the Browns were the only thing between the Hawks and a playoff berth. Johnny Football marched Cleveland right down the field on the first drive, but that was about all that they would be able to do for the rest of the day. The Seahawks behind Russell Wilson and Doug Baldwin went on to a 30-13 victory and put the Hawks right where they expect to be, back in the playoffs.
I can’t believe how quickly this season flew by for me. It seems like just yesterday I was rolling into Husky Stadium on a hot August early afternoon for the first game of the season. I have met even more great people this season and continue to learn and try to push more each game.
