I went to the Washington vs. Seattle U game at KeyArena on Tuesday to take a couple shots of a check presentation ceremony at halftime for the Lenny Wilkens Foundation. I took a few shots from my seat during the game as well.

I made the trip over to Pullman this weekend for the Apple Cup. Winter was in full swing as game time temps were in the mid 20′s but a near packed house at Martin Stadium didn’t seem to mind and took advantage of the snow that fell most of the week by pelting the field with snow balls. This year’s game had something riding on it other than being a rivalry game, a Husky win would mean a bowl game for the first time in several years. The Huskies managed to get past a much improved Cougar team 35-28 and earned themselves the Apple Cup trophy and a trip to San Diego for the Holiday Bowl!

Jake Locker said goodbye to Husky Stadium in style leading the Huskies to a 24-7 victory over UCLA Thursday night. The Huskies came out in all black uniforms as part of the university’s “Black out” campaign. The crowd got one last chance to see seniors Jake Locker and Mason Foster, but it was Chris Polk that had the big night finishing with 138 yards and a score.

I took a road trip this weekend down to Eugene, Oregon for a chance to go shoot the number one team in the land. Autzen Stadium is a great place to watch (or photograph) a game and with their Ducks being at the top of the heap, the fans were as loud and crazy as ever. With every Ducks game, there is always the question, “what uniform are they going to wear this game?” Well, they came out in all black and looked intimidating as they dismantled the Locker-less Huskies 53-16

Ducks take the field

Quinton Richardson grabs and twists the facemask of Duck QB Darron Thomas just short of the goal line.

Darron Thomas dives in for a TD.

...and Mason Foster grinds his head into the turf.

Chris Polk tries to break away for a few extra yards.

Jeff Maehl finds daylight after a catch.

the Huskies manage to rip the ball away from LaMichael James, but it rolled out of bounds before they could pounce on it.

Darron Thomas is just as dangerous with his legs as he is with his arm.

Redshirt Freshman Keith Price did a good job in his first start as the Husky QB against the best team in the land.

Price tries to avoid the sack by tossing the ball out of bounds.

Three Dawgs converge on Darron Thomas. I'd say Mason Foster got the worst of this one.

Jesse Callier hits the line hard.

LaMichael James jukes Cort Dennison for a good gain.

Lavasier Tuinei walks the tightrope alond the sideline.

Andrew Luck, that is. Luck and the Stanford Cardinal came in to Husky Stadium Saturday and dominated the Huskies from from the very start, winning 41-0. It was another wet one for the first half and then the skies cleared for the rest of the game, but the Huskies were already sunk. At least they get to go on the road to Eugene next week to take on the #1 team in the country next week! Here are a few shots from the game.

The Huskies came up huge with a double overtime win over 24th ranked Oregon State on Saturday. It was a much better game to watch than the previous week’s for a couple reasons. The Huskies looked like they showed up to play, and I didn’t get soaked! Here are a few shots. Enjoy!
